INTRODUCTION
C L O U D is a project of IaaC, Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia developed at Master in Advanced Architecture in 2016 by:
Students: Lalin Keyvan, Anna Abduraimova and Justyna Brzakala
Faculty: Guillem Camprodon and Angel Muñoz
This project is about creating an interaction between past and present with using sound as a key element. Our motto is "Inspire, by being inspired."
As a material, using pipes was really important for this project in order to direct sound to the microphone and to filter it from background noise in an analogue way.
How does it work?
The cloud is a place where IAAC’s inspiration is going to be kept. On top of the structure, a raspberry pi is connected to a microphone and a speaker. If the voice of the environment suddenly changes such as if a persona approaches and starts to talk , with the written code, the microphone gets activated and starts to record the sound for seven seconds in order to recall it from sound library for the future visitors. So it is possible to hear a quote or a sound which was recorded "n" time ago while recording your own message to the C L O U D.
